Meriaura’s deck cargo carrier Aura’s 10th anniversary was celebrated in January. Aura was built at Remontowa Shipyard in Gdansk, Poland and was delivered to Meriaura on January 7 in 2008. Aura was the first newbuilding for Meriaura Group.

The first years Aura was mainly carrying ship blocks for the Finnish shipyards. She also transported cranes, windmill components and many other heavy and oversized cargoes. In 2012, the vessel was converted into a cable laying vessel and was laying cable on the Southern Baltic until 2016, when she was converted back to a multipurpose open deck carrier.
